Akshay Kumar is set to release Welcome To The Jungle, the third part of the Welcome franchise. The actor has reportedly charged just Rs 1.8 crore as his fee but will receive a massive 72 percent IPR share post-release. The makers have already recovered Rs 120 crore from secondary rights.

Akshay Kumar is all set for the release of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, the third chapter in the popular ‘Welcome’ franchise. As excitement builds around the film, details about the actor’s pay and profit-sharing deal have come to light. Akshay is reportedly charging just Rs 1.8 crore as his fee for the project, while also securing a significant share in the film’s intellectual property revenues post-release.

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ makers recover Rs 120 crore from secondary rights

According to Free Press Journal, as of now, the makers are rumoured to have finalised a deal of around Rs 120 crore from OTT, audio, satellite, etc. They will therefore have to recover a lot less from theatrical income. ‘Welcome’ is a big franchise. The earlier two films, ‘Welcome’ (2007) and ‘Welcome Back’ (2015) have great recall. So, the third part of the franchise is also carrying buzz. Since the secondary rights have already yielded safe numbers, the makers can breathe easy for now.

Akshay Kumar to get 72 percent IPR share of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’

Akshay is said to have charged a nominal fee of just Rs 1.8 crore for the film. As per the reports, once the movie starts generating revenue post-release, the actor is set to pocket a whopping 72 percent of the IPR share, with the producer holding on to the remaining 28 percent.

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ is the third film in the much-loved Welcome franchise. The movie features a massive star-studded cast including Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani, among others. The film will also see Akshay and Raveena share the screen together after a gap of over two decades.

Akshay Kumar reunites with Priyadarshan for ‘Haiwaan’ after ‘Bhooth Bangla’

On the work front, Akshay Kumar has a packed lineup ahead. He was recently seen in ‘Bhooth Bangla’, which marked his reunion with director Priyadarshan. The duo is now teaming up again for ‘Haiwaan’, an official Hindi remake of the 2016 Malayalam thriller ‘Oppam’, which also stars Saif Ali Khan in a key role, with a supporting cast featuring Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher and the late veteran actor Asrani.

Akshay Kumar to star in Anees Bazmee’s comedy and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal 5’

Akshay is also joining hands with Vidya Balan and director Anees Bazmee for an untitled family comedy, hitting theaters on December 4, 2026, which also features Raashi Khanna. To top it all, he is also part of Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited ‘Golmaal 5’.
