Devashish Mishra’s entrepreneurial journey is a powerful example of resilience, determination, and the courage to rebuild from difficult circumstances. As the founder of Mr. Care Pharmacy, he has transformed a challenging phase of life into an inspiring story of growth and community service.
Before entering the healthcare retail sector, Devashish spent more than a decade working in the entertainment industry. Starting his career at the age of seventeen, he gained valuable experience while working on large productions and events. One of his last major professional assignments was associated with the Indian Super League project with Star Sports in 2022. However, the unexpected arrival of the COVID pandemic changed everything.
Like many others, Devashish faced a major setback when a business he had started just before the pandemic had to be shut down. With his savings exhausted and uncertainty surrounding the future, he was forced to rethink his direction. Instead of giving up, he chose to explore new opportunities and identify real needs within society.
During this period he recognized a significant gap in the pharmaceutical retail sector, particularly in tier two and tier three cities. People were not only looking for medicines but also for a pharmacy they could trust. This insight led to the creation of Mr. Care Pharmacy.
To begin the venture, Devashish borrowed thirty five lakh rupees from his brother who placed complete trust in his vision. The first store opened toward the end of 2020. In the early days Devashish personally managed the store, delivered medicines to customers, and learned every aspect of the business from the ground level.
Today Mr. Care Pharmacy has grown into a trusted healthcare destination with more than eleven thousand registered members and over eight hundred thousand medicine bills served. For Devashish Mishra, the journey has never been only about building a business but about creating relationships and ensuring that communities have access to dependable healthcare services.
