The Popular Story is a digital magazine and news publication covering entertainment, sports, lifestyle, astrology and world news. This page explains how we work.
Original reporting and writing
We publish stories written in our own words. We do not copy articles, photographs or videos from other publications. When a story builds on another outlet’s reporting, we name that outlet in the article and link to it.
Accuracy and sources
We check names, dates, numbers and quotes against published or official sources before a story goes live. Where a detail is not yet confirmed, we say so in the article instead of guessing.
Images and credits
We use photographs that we own, that are licensed to us, or that are published under a free licence or in the public domain. Every such image carries a credit line.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. An editor reviews and is responsible for every article before it is published.
Advertising and sponsored content
Sponsored or promotional content, including features in our magazine editions, is clearly marked and is kept separate from our news reporting.
Authors
Each article shows the name of the author or the desk responsible for it.
