Jojo Siwa is celebrating her love through her music. The singer has revealed that the inspiration behind her new song ‘Serendipity’ is her boyfriend Chris Hughes. Her latest single is set to be released on April 7. Siwa and Hughes first became friends while starring on Celebrity Big Brother UK in April 2025 and grew closer after the show ended. The ‘Boomerang’ singer confirmed in June 2025 that they were dating.

On the red carpet of the premiere of the ‘Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special’ on Monday, Siwa opened up about her forthcoming single ‘Serendipity’ while speaking to People. “The inspiration behind that is my very sweet love Christopher,” Siwa told the outlet. She continues, “Well, our lives connecting and meeting are like serendipity. It’s my favorite word, so I had to write a song about it.”When asked what keeps their relationship strong, Siwa says it’s a matter of knowing when it’s “right.” “I think that when it’s meant to be, it is, and when it’s meant to be, it’ll be right,” she says sweetly.

In December, Siwa opened up about hopes for a future proposal in an interview with The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine. At the time, she joked that if Hughes, 33, hadn’t proposed in seven years, she might take matters into her own hands. “You always get people who get engaged [at] Christmas. You see it on Instagram, every year you’re gonna see somebody who gets engaged. I kinda like the idea of it not being at a time where it could be expected,” he said. She jokingly replied, “Alright, you’re keeping me guessing, aren’t you?” before asking, “But what if I got him a ring?” Hughes then said he would be “uncomfortable” if he were proposed to rather than being the one to pop the question.Weeks later, in January, Siwa showed off the Cartier Love Ring he got her for Christmas. Later that month, she posted a photo of herself with the caption “Call me a wife,” wearing a veil on Snapchat.
