However, Rajasthan batting coach Vikram Rathour later confirmed that the franchise had rested Jadeja as a precaution because of discomfort in his knee rather than any serious injury concern. “He just had some niggle in his knee, I think. They are just trying to manage that. They felt that if we give him one more game break, it would be good for him. That was the reason he was rested. He is just dealing with some niggle,” Rathour said in the post-match press conference. The experienced all-rounder is now likely to return for Tuesday’s must-win encounter in Jaipur. Despite the slump, Rajasthan still remain firmly in the playoff race.
