Fans immediately started comparing the film’s impact to ‘Pushpa.’ Now, reports suggest that the makers intentionally chose the title ‘Raaka’ by following the successful formula used in ‘Pushpa,’ where the lead character’s name itself became the film’s identity.
‘Raaka’ follows the ‘Pushparaj’ formula
According to Hindustan Times, director Atlee wanted the title to revolve completely around Allu Arjun’s character, just like Pushparaj became a nationwide sensation in ‘Pushpa.’ Instead of selecting a regular story-based title, the team reportedly decided to turn the hero’s character name into a strong cinematic brand. The makers believe ‘Raaka’ can create the same emotional connection with audiences across India. Fans also noticed special markings on Allu Arjun’s forehead in the poster, which resemble Viking-style tattoos. This has increased curiosity about the film’s action-packed and rugged world.
Atlee calls ‘Raaka’ his 18-year dream project
After the first look launch, Atlee shared an emotional message on social media about the project. He said, “Raaka is not just a movie. It is an idea I carried in my heart for 18 years. Even after facing many challenges, I never gave up on this story.” His statement made fans even more excited about the film. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is reportedly playing the female lead opposite Allu Arjun, making the project even bigger.
