BLACKPINK’s Rosé has etched her name in music history as the first K-pop artist to win a BRIT Award. She clinched the award for International Song of the Year for her smash collaboration ‘APT.’ with Bruno Mars at the 46th BRIT Awards in Manchester. This victory marks a groundbreaking moment for K-pop on the global stage.A chart-topping triumph, ‘APT’ released in October 2025, exploded worldwide with its infectious chorus and high-energy vibe. The track topped charts across multiple countries and became a staple on streaming platforms. Rose’s pop vocals paired perfectly with Bruno Mars’s funky flair, creating a global hit that fans could not resist.The win came via a public vote, pitting ‘APT’ against heavy hitters like Taylor Swift entries. Over 1,000 industry experts and fans decided the outcome, underscoring the song’s broad appeal. Rosé previously made waves with Grammy nods for Song of the Year and Record of the Year, plus an MTV VMA Song of the Year sweep.

Accepting the award, Rosé beamed with gratitude. “Let’s give a shout out to BLACKPINK. Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa, I adore you all so much. Thank you for your continuous inspiration,” she said, crediting her bandmates as shared by Yonhap News. The moment sparked cheers, with presenter AngryGinge13 revealing her name to roars from the crowd.Fans lit up social media. “Rosé has made history as the first K-pop artist to receive a BRIT Award!” another added, “I couldn’t help but shout at my TV when AngryGinge revealed her name!”
