The Aditya Dhar directorial has been rewriting box office history across domestic and international markets. Positioned as a landmark cinematic event, the film witnessed massive advance bookings and unprecedented demand, translating into record-breaking collections across its opening weekend.In a historic feat, Dhurandhar: The Revenge clocked a staggering Rs 761 crore worldwide in its opening weekend, making it one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever. The film has surpassed several major titles and set new benchmarks in scale, reach, and audience response.

The film has recorded multiple milestones, including the highest advance bookings, biggest paid previews, and the fastest film to cross Rs 300 crore domestically. It also saw record ticket sales, including the highest number of tickets sold on its first Saturday and peak hourly sales on BookMyShow.Internationally, the film has performed equally strongly, registering one of the biggest overseas opening weekends for an Indian film, earning around Rs 210 crore globally.

Industry showers praise

Following its release, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has received widespread appreciation from across the film fraternity. Filmmakers like SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma praised the film, while Kangana Ranaut hailed Aditya Dhar as a “superstar filmmaker.”She also noted how globally celebrated directors like Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, and Christopher Nolan are seen as central creative forces, suggesting Dhar’s success could inspire a similar shift in India.Actors including Alia Bhatt, Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna, Jr NTR, and Allu Arjun have also applauded the film.Dhurandhar: The Revenge released in theatres on March 19.
