Cassie Ventura, the ‘Long Way 2 Go’ singer, and the disgraced rapper, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, had a legal showdown last year, making headlines consistently. Months after he was sentenced, the reports claim that the 39-year-old model has left the United States of America and has no intentions of returning. Here’s a closer look at Cassie Ventura and her ongoing lawsuit.

Cassie Ventura fled the United States of America

In a declaration dated May 1, 2026, Ventura requested a change of the court from California to New York, as her lawyers are based there and she can easily meet them. “I am a citizen of the United States. I am not a resident of the State of California,” she said in the statement, per TMZ, which is in connection with the prolonged case of Diddy. “I reside outside of the United States. I do not intend to move back to the United States,” she added. Ventura revealed in a declaration that she received a total of USD 30 million as part of compensation after she filed a lawsuit against him in 2023. USD 20 million was from ‘Sean and his companies,’ while the remaining amount was from the hotel in which the ‘freak-offs’ were filmed.

About the lawsuit against Cassie Ventura

Clayton Howard, the male escort, filed a lawsuit against Ventura and Combs. He accused the singer of transmitting a venereal disease and aborting his child when he got her pregnant without his knowledge. Moreover, he alleged that she forced him to consume drugs and have unprotected intercourse, according to Page Six. He reported having sustained physical, mental, and emotional trauma, along with additional suffering of medical expenses, distress, and loss of enjoyment of life. In the last year, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was part of a months-long trial, which ended in him being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering.
