Delroy Lindo briefly addresses BAFTA controversy and N-word slur: ‘I appreciate all the support’
Actor Delroy Lindo has broken his silence on the BAFTA controversy where the n-word was heard from the audience due to a Tourette’s advocate’s involuntary tics. Speaking at the NAACP Image Awards, Lindo expressed gratitude for the support shown to him and Michael B. Jordan following the incident. His film ‘Sinners’ also garnered significant recognition at the event.

Last week at the BAFTAs, as Delroy Lindo and Michael B. Jordan came on stage to announce an award, the n-word slur could be heard coming from the audience. Tourette’s advocate John Davidson had been the one to say the slur live due to involuntary tics that are out of his control. While he had issued a statement on the matter, both of the ‘Sinners’ actors had remained silent about the matter. Now, a week later, Lindo is making his views on the matter clear.
