During a candid chat on Brittany Broski’s show, Harry Styles revealed he once struggled not to laugh at his grandmother’s funeral because he started mentally soundtracking the cremation with songs like “Disco Inferno” and “Ring of Fire.” The darkly comic memory, which he brought up while discussing his forthcoming album, ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.

Harry Styles says he laughed at his grandmother’s funeral after thinking about “inappropriate cremation songs.” The Grammy winner shared the story during a recent appearance on Brittany Broski’s show ‘Royal Court,’ where he stopped by to promote his upcoming album, ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.’ What started as a light conversation about songwriting quickly turned into an unexpectedly candid moment.

According to his appearance on ‘Royal Court,’ Styles was discussing his track “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” when Broski asked him what other locations deserve a song. His answer caught everyone off guard. He said the crematorium.

“I really like cremation songs,” Styles confessed, as Broski and the room erupted in laughter.He then explained why he once laughed at his grandmother’s funeral. “It feels so inappropriate because of how abrupt it was,” Styles added. “And then I just started thinking about inappropriate cremation songs. … And then I was off.”Styles went on to reveal which songs popped into his head at that moment. He named Dan Hartman’s “Relight My Fire,” The Trammps’ “Disco Inferno” and Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire.” The dark humor clearly surprised the audience, but Styles leaned into the awkwardness and owned the story.

‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’ album and tour

The singer is gearing up for the release of his fourth solo studio album, ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally,’ which arrives on March 6. He spoke enthusiastically about the project during the interview. “I had so much fun making this album,” the “Sign of the Times” artist said.Later this year, Styles will launch an extensive world tour. The schedule includes several residencies across different cities around the globe.His appearance on ‘Royal Court’ blended humor with honesty. The story about the funeral revealed his tendency to find strange connections between music and real life. It also showed how quickly his mind moves from a serious setting to song ideas.
