Hrithik Roshan RESPONDS to a fan asking if he just defended 'War 2' through the VFX post; actor breaks his silence
In a recent discussion on the visual effects of ‘Ramayana’, Hrithik Roshan commended the creativity of the filmmakers involved. When a fan speculated about his stance on ‘War 2’, Hrithik candidly pointed out that while ‘War 2’ faced some physics-related challenges and tighter timelines, the first installment was definitely a benchmark of excellence. Read on to know more in detail.

Hrithik Roshan recently shared a long note on Instagram in which he talked about the VFX debate surrounding ‘Ramayana’ and extended his support to director Nitesh Tiwari and Namit Malhotra. Soon, he was questioned by a fan if he was indirectly defending his movie ‘War 2’ through the post. Here’s what the actor replied.

After Hrithik shared a post on Instagram, he also responded to several comments made by netizens. The star was quizzed about the VFX in his film ‘War 2’, in a comment that read, “Hrithik Roshan makes us question ourselves; that bad Ramayana VFX and War 2 VFX are debatable… Well, HR, I surrender in front of you! What a majestic stand you took! And did you just defend War 2 indirectly… Nevertheless, love always to My King.“

To this, the actor responded, “War2 had some physics/gravity issue and less time. It can happen. Whereas War 1 was absolutely spectacularly perfect.”Soon, another individual questioned, “Sir what about Fighter? What are your views about DNEG?” Hrithik’s reply read, “Fighter VFX was very photorealistic.”

More about Hrithik Roshan’s post

Roshan took to his Instagram to share a post that read, “Yes, bad VFX exists. It’s sometimes so bad it’s painful to watch. Especially for me… and especially when it’s a film I’m part of.”A part of his long note read, “Today some special humans among us, like the makers of films like Kalki, Bahubali, Ramayana, (also my dad for Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish, of course), are my heroes; they have the guts and vision to do what’s never been done—all for the love of cinema so that we, the audience, get to experience something never watched before. From my point of view, they risked all that money and years and years of effort just so another 11-year-old kid could feel what I felt.” He added, “To me that’s noble. The intention by itself deserves applause! I am proud of my fellow Indians. What I would give to be a part of such dreams even as an assistant.”

More about ‘War 2’

Ayan Mukerji’s ‘War 2’ failed to pull the audience to the theaters. The movie was a part of the spy universe of Bollywood and featured Jr NTR as well. Even with the massive star power and being part of the big franchise, the film didn’t do well at the box office. It was criticized for its poor CGI, VFX, and storyline as well. The film was released in theaters in August 2025.Meanwhile, ‘Ramayana’, helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, is set to release worldwide in October 2026, ahead of Diwali.
