Esha Deol, daughter of the late Dharmendra and veteran actress Hema Malini, has embarked on an exciting new journey by launching her interior design label. At the event marking this new beginning, she could not hold back her tears as she spoke warmly about her late father. Taking to Instagram, Bobby reposted Esha’s video where she spoke about her new brand and paid a heartfelt tribute to their late father. The two sides of Dharmendra’s family and their bond
Bobby is the son of Dharmendra and his first wife Prakash Kaur, while Esha was born to Hema Malini, whom Dharmendra married as his second wife. Dharmendra never divorced Prakash even after marrying Hema and continued to live with her and their four children until he passed away. The two sides of the family have mostly lived separately over the years, but Esha and her half brothers have always shared a warm bond. Esha has spoken about this in the past, saying that she has been tying rakhi to both Sunny and Bobby since she was a young girl, which shows that the siblings have always remained close despite their complicated family background.
Esha Deol’s emotional words for her father at an event
At the launch event held on Monday, Esha took a moment to look back and reflect on the deep connection she shared with her late father when it came to their love for design. She made it clear that her father was very much a part of this new journey, saying, “This journey would be incomplete without mentioning my father, Dharmendra Ji. We both shared a passion for design, and this special bond that we shared is something that I carry with me even today.”As Esha continued speaking, her emotions got the better of her, and she struggled to hold back her tears while remembering her late father. She paused mid-sentence, clearly overwhelmed, before gathering herself and pouring her heart out. “Papa and I would spend… I can’t talk about it; it’s so difficult… Papa and I would spend hours discussing different landscapes, houses, and simple spaces, and he always would say, ‘Lage raho, bete; karte raho’ (Just keep at it), and those words… I carry them with me even today; they guide me. It was his faith in my creativity that gave me the courage to wholeheartedly pursue it today,” she said. The actress also shared a beautiful and deeply personal detail about her brand, revealing that the lantern featured in her logo was something her father had made with his own hands. “The lantern in my logo was personally handcrafted by Papa. It was a gift he had given me,” she said.
