Us Weekly just reported that Abdalla, who is rising to stardom for her portrayal of Allie Hayes in ‘Off Campus’, has called it quits with her fiancé, Jake Short. The two had met during her stint on the OTT film, ‘Sex Appeal’, after which they had stayed together and had even gotten engaged.A spokesperson for Abdalla gave an official statement about the matter, citing that “Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life, it would feel remiss to not address that her and Jake are no longer together. They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.” No other information about their split has been shared with the public, and neither Short nor Abdalla has made separate comments about the split as well.

Jake Short and Mika Abdalla had been cast together to lead the OTT film, ‘Sex Appeal’ in 2021. From there, the duo connected well and started dating one another. Only last year, the ‘Mighty Med’ actor’s manager, Brian Medavoy, had confirmed to the public that the two of them had gotten engaged. In May 2025, he had posted a series of photos of the couple to announce the news.
