Actor Pooja Dadwal, who once appeared alongside Salman Khan in ‘Veergati’ went through a difficult personal life after the film. While it did not work at the box office, her performance caught attention and hinted at a bright future. However, that early promise did not translate into steady work. While she did not get offers from Bollywood, she started doing television and featured in shows like ‘Aashiqui’ and ‘Gharana’. Later, she got married and moved to Goa and stepped away from the glamour world. As per reports, she helped her husband manage a casino. Her life took a difficult turn in 2018 when she was diagnosed with severe Tuberculosis. The illness not only impacted her health but also led to financial hardship. Reports suggest that during this period, she was left without support by her husband and in-laws, forcing her to fend for herself in Mumbai. At that point, after she was discharged from the hospital, she had thanked Salman Khan for his support. She had revealed that time, “I can’t describe how I am feeling. When I was hospitalised on March 2, I thought I was going to die there bedridden in a corner of that depressing ward. My family and friends had abandoned me. I gave up all hope after the doctors told me that my lungs were severely affected. Incessant coughing and breathlessness had left me weak. And I saw so many like me, dying all alone their friends and family, like mine, had deserted them. But then I decided that I dont want to end up like that. I decided to fight, to not let the disease win.” She further revealed that she has survived only because of Salman’s support. Yes, one of the side-effects of tuberculosis is social rejection but I am really thankful to Salman Khan who lent me the support. From clothes to soaps, diapers, food, medicines, his foundation took care of everything. If I survived the ordeal, it is only because of him,” added Pooja. Now as per the latest update about Pooja, as shared by a user on social media, she now runs a tiffin service and lives in a chawl in Mumbai. Nalini Unagar, better known as Naliniskitchen on social media, shared, “She tried to come back through Punjabi films, but the film failed. Today, Pooja runs a small tiffin service and lives a very simple life in a chawl. Life is just so unpredictable.”Netizens reacted to this post and also expressed sadness for her. Many agreed about life being unpredictable. A user said, “Success isn’t permanent and struggles can come to anyone, huge respect for how she stayed strong through it all.”
