‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ alum Kim Zolciak and NFL player Kroy Biermann have been involved in a public legal battle over their children’s custody. As per the latest updates, a judge set a new mandate for the mother of four, establishing a plan that requires Zolciak to attend parenting therapy sessions.

As PEOPLE reported, Cobb County Superior Court Judge Kellie S. Hill presented a temporary parenting plan for exes Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann. The mandate included 4 parent therapy sessions that Zolciak had to attend. She was also given a deadline to attend the sessions; the report cited that she only had from April 3 to Monday, April 13, to complete all four mandated sessions.The reports also stated that “All four children shall remain in the Father’s physical custody” until their mother completes all of her sessions. There will also be a verification process to determine whether she attended all mandated sessions.Once Mother completes her four (4) sessions as required, the parties shall resume operation under the existing Court Ordered Parenting Plan, which otherwise remains in full force and effect until further agreement and/or modification by this Court,” the report further added.
Why was this implemented on Kim Zolciak?
The news comes after Kim Zolciak revealed that she was unable to attend some counselling sessions that had been a part of an earlier deal due to filming obligations. In January this year, she had signed for temporary custody, which required both her and the NFL player to attend two counseling sessions per month for two months. After that, they were mandated to attend 1 session per month.Zolciak was unable to attend sessions from February 26 to March 28. The ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star revealed that she will finish her therapy sessions and that she has not lost custody of her children. “For the avoidance of any doubt, I have not lost custody of my children, nor has there been any modification to the custody agreement outside of the agreed-upon temporary order,” the TV star concluded. The couple was married for about 12 years before they filed for divorce in 2023. Later on, Biermann also filed for sole cutsody of their children.
