Salman’s fortune isn’t built on a single pillar. It’s a well-diversified empire. Films and acting fees remain the biggest contributor. Reportedly, with a per-film fee of Rs 100 crore, Khan commands one of the heftiest paycheques in the business. Beyond starring roles, he has also produced commercially successful titles, including ‘Chillar Party’ (2011), ‘Dr. Cabbie’ (2014) and ‘Radhe’ (2020).Brand endorsements offer a significant addition. Salman Khan’s career journey: From Indore to icon

Born on December 27 1965, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Salman grew up in a home where storytelling ran in the blood. His father, Salim Khan, is one of Bollywood’s most celebrated screenwriters.His first screen appearance came in 1988 with a supporting role in ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’. But it was ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ (1989) that launched him into the stratosphere. According to Sacnilk, with Rs 15 crore net and Rs 30 crore gross collections.What followed was a filmography most actors can only dream of. ‘Saajan’ (1991), ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ (1994), a film that went on to become one of Bollywood’s most beloved cult classics, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’ (1994), which made him win the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, ‘Judwaa’ (1997), ‘Biwi No.1’ (1999), and ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ (1999).Salman has lent his voice to his films over the years as well, singing in ‘Kick’ (2014), ‘Sultan’ (2016), and ‘Dabangg 3’ (2019), adding yet another string to his already impressive bow.

Salman Khan’s charity work

In 2007, Salman founded the Being Human Foundation, dedicated to healthcare and education for underprivileged communities across India. In 2012, he offered to cover fines for hundreds of prisoners in Uttar Pradesh who had served their time but couldn’t afford to walk free.
