Kannada star Yash will be seen in the upcoming gangster action drama ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ directed by Geetu Mohandas. As the fans have been in a limbo to understand when the film will be finally released, recently buzz suggested the team considered some reshoots. However, now the makers have denied these reports.
‘Toxic’ makers dismiss claims
Recently, reports started circulating online claiming the film would undergo major reshoots and that its release had been pushed to 2027. According to Valai Pechu, an update shared by Christopher Kanagaraj, the makers have seemingly dismissed the reports about ‘Toxic’ undergoing reshoots. The update has brought some relief to fans worried about another delay.At the same time, the production team has made no official announcement regarding the film’s release date. Because of that, the exact status of the project remains unclear for now.Additionally, reports also suggest that the movie’s OTT deal has not yet been finalized.
About ‘Toxic’
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic’ is a period action thriller featuring Yash as Raya. He is seen in a dual avatar as shown in the teasers released earlier this year. This is Yash’s 19th film and his first after the ‘KGF’ movies.

Apart from the Rocking Star, it also has strong and multiple female characters. It features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.The supporting cast includes Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, Amit Tiwari and several other actors in important roles.The film’s music and background score have been composed by Ravi Basrur. International action choreographer JJ Perry has worked on some of the action sequences, while the Anbariv duo has handled selected action portions.‘Toxic’ has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. The film will also be dubbed and released in six Indian languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
