Born on August 27, 1985, in the village of Rayali in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan state, Rajendra Singh Tanwar is a product of his cultural surroundings which shaped his entrepreneurial instincts along with the love for traditional Indian food culture. As early as when he was young, he showed strong inclination towards becoming a leader and businessperson with efficient operational skills. He had strong education credentials in Commerce, Mass Communication and Marketing.
His first job as a professional in this industry was that of an employee in a multi-national fast food service chain known as a QSR chain in 2007. He climbed the corporate ladder to finally become the Restaurant General Manager (RGM). During his time in the industry within this firm, he has won different internal awards as an outstanding employee due to his performance, especially in areas such as operations, customer satisfaction, and leadership.
In order to realize his entrepreneurial spirit, he started a new venture known as Govindam Sweets, which is dedicated to serving authentic Indian sweets and snacks. This brand went on to become a full-fledged retail and franchise business enterprise. Further expanding into hospitality, he initiated the venture known as Govindam Retreat that offers authentic Rajasthani cuisine.

He has been recognized for his success and accomplishments in various industries by leading industry platforms including Times Food & Nightlife Awards, Tripadvisor, Restaurant Guru, and EazyDiner Foodie Awards. Recently, in 2024, he has also been awarded at the Rajasthan Radiance Awards organized by Radio City.
